Do you want to Help Long Island Go Native? The Long Island Conservancy is here to support your local efforts at stewardship. We will help bring awareness to the environmental issues that face your community. Typically, we help in the process of removing invasive plants and then planting natives.

I am looking for volunteer opportunities for a Girl Scout troop to learn about the importance of planting trees and also to plant some trees.

That disease attacks the nuts it seems. Chestnut Blight attacks the bark.
I look forward to being part of the restoration process. It will be a nice event for me to do with my mother.
